We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Mandarin-speaking support worker to assist NDIS participants in the Wollongong area. This casual role focuses on supporting clients to engage in meaningful community-based activities and develop greater independence and social inclusion.

The successful applicant will have fluency in Mandarin and English, experience in disability, aged care, or community support roles (NDIS experience desirable), strong communication and interpersonal skills, a current driver's license, and access to a reliable insured vehicle. A valid NDIS worker screening check, working with children check, and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) are also required. Legal working rights in Australia are necessary for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support NDIS participants to attend community outings, appointments, hobbies, and social events.
  • Encourage independence and participation in daily living and recreational activities.
  • Communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English.
  • Build trusted, respectful relationships with clients and their families.
  • Document supports provided and report on participant progress and wellbeing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English.
  • Experience in disability, aged care, or community support roles (NDIS experience desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
