The Asset Management Planner (Smelter) role is part of our Minerals Australia operation, responsible for developing and maintaining work plans for assigned equipment types. This role works closely with Maintenance Execution crews to ensure safe and reliable equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan work in accordance with 1SAP Work Management processes, identifying required components and resources.
  • Arrange specialist or external resources to support complex work completion.
  • Monitor Parts Availability Tracker (PAT) and liaise with Supply to ensure timely delivery of parts and rotatable materials.
  • Improve SAP Master Data to embed Standard Work Packages into Task Lists.
  • Provide technical and system support to develop the broader team.
  • Support automation of planning processes by turning tacit knowledge into system-embedded information.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization across sites.
  • Verify and optimize strategies using Asset Health Evaluator inputs and liaise with strategy owners.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning or smelter maintenance within the resourcing sector.
  • Well-developed knowledge of mechanical maintenance equipment or technical understanding of Condition Monitoring and Asset Health Principles.
  • Good knowledge of planning & scheduling and Work Management processes.
  • Good knowledge of Cost Management and Forecasting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of SAP (or an equivalent ERP system) is required.
