MESenior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the delivery of MEP services on various projects, including Defence, Health, and Commercial.
The primary objective will be to manage and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional MEP services while growing cost management opportunities.
- Lead the team to deliver MEP services from feasibility cost planning to agreement of final account.
- Manage and develop the team to deliver our MEP services.
- Lead MEP bid opportunities.
- Assist with feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
- Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to internal and external clients.
- Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
A recognised degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering is desired.
- MRICS/AIQS accreditation or equivalent ideal.
- Relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Great understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
- Experience in the cost management sector.
- Proficient in the use of Cost X.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
- Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients and working independently.
- Understanding of / or interest in alternative technologies and ecologically sustainable design.
