About the Role

This is a chance to lead and inspire a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, focusing on delivering exceptional care to residents while fostering a supportive work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care: Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents, addressing their medical, physical, and emotional needs
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences
  • Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols
  • Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate
  • Crisis Management: Handle emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively

Requirements:

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team
