Project engineers drive innovation and growth in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of projects supplying large capital food processing equipment to customers. Your expertise as a senior project engineer will act as the customer's primary technical interface, working closely with sales, project management, and service teams to ensure that equipment meets expectations.

The successful candidate will lead teams of skilled design engineers on component specifications, equipment sizing, detailed design specifications, and more. Your responsibilities will include designing industrial food processing and packaging equipment models in Autodesk Inventor 3D, drafting equipment layout/installation drawings, piping and instrumentation drawings, and process flow diagrams in AutoCAD 2D.

Requirements
  • Completion of tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or relevant experience and training.
  • 10-15 years' experience in managing projects in the food/diary/FMCG industries.
  • Knowledge of design and manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience in food processing equipment is an advantage, but analytical ability is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in SAP is preferred.
