**Job Summary**

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Safety Specialist to join our Operations APAC West business. This is a long-term commitment role, available on a full-time or part-time (job share) basis, based in Perth CBD.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a seasoned professional with relevant experience in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects to support the expansion of our business. As a Senior Technical Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in safety engineering for petroleum production or processing facilities within Australia or on brownfield projects for hydrocarbon processing facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct formal safety assessment (FSA) studies and risk-based decision-making
  • Design and specify safety-critical equipment and systems
  • Develop and implement safety regulations and industry codes/standards
  • Provide excellent report writing and oral communication skills
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues

**Requirements**

  • 6+ years of experience in safety engineering for petroleum production or processing facilities
  • Relevant experience in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects
  • Engineering degree from a recognized institution
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
