Warehousing Specialist

The Warehouse Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of goods, responsible for loading, unloading and securing general freight of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
  • Process various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
  • Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with straps and chains
  • Ensure accurate and complete scanning for freight in received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
  • Prepare outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
  • Guarantee freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times

Requirements:

  • Holds current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Has experience with general ugly/oversize freight
  • Proficient in using straps, binders and chains to restrain loads
  • Able to take direction from management and supervisors
  • Prefers scanning experience
  • Demonstrates customer service and communication skills
  • Able to comply with policies, procedures, and values
