Youth Health Specialist

Delivering youth-friendly, trauma-informed and strengths-based care to young people aged 12-24 with multiple vulnerabilities and/or chronic illness or disability is a vital role for an experienced and empathetic nurse.
About the Position:As a nurse in this team, you will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming, culturally safe and supportive environment, offering specialised health advice to address the health issues faced by young people experiencing complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical care within your scope of practice, including immunisations, sexual and reproductive health, chronic illness support and treatment planning
- Support clinics and collaborate with medical practitioners to ensure seamless, wraparound support for young people
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of care and professionalism
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant regulatory body
- Experience working with vulnerable groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people, families and teams
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism
