About The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled automotive technician to join our team at Recruit Shop. As an experienced mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough diagnostic procedures to identify issues with complex vehicle systems
  • Applying safe working practices while conducting mechanical repairs to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency
  • Participating in dyno operations to fine-tune vehicle performance and optimize engine efficiency
  • Inspecting and servicing engines, braking systems, and transmission systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Repairing and maintaining electronic management systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years post-trade experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with advanced diagnostics
  • A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Technology and a valid manual driver's licence
  • A strong desire to learn and grow, particularly in Dyno tuning and advanced diagnostics
