Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance will lead the delivery of governance, risk management, and compliance practices, providing expert advice to key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to improve governance, risk, and compliance policies, incorporating emerging best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Consult with stakeholders to share and implement policies across SA Health.
  • Maintain a client interface between Shared Services and their service portfolio, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice to key stakeholders, including the Executive Director of Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance (PSCF).
  • Direct change management initiatives to improve the quality, timeliness, and relevance of policies and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, ensuring Treasurer's Instructions are clearly communicated and followed.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment that values diversity and encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Lead scenario planning exercises and stress tests for the procurement, supply chain, and finance branches.
  • Ensure PSCF is prepared for audits, including those undertaken by the Auditor-General's Office.
  • Develop and implement governance and compliance frameworks that incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Law, Business Studies, Economics, or other related discipline.
