Instructional Specialist

The Instructional Specialist - Coordinator 3 is a key member of the school's senior leadership team, responsible for providing instructional coaching and mentoring to improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers K-6.

• Model classroom practitioner excellence, including collaborative planning, mentoring, and instructional coaching
• Improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers K-6
• Work collaboratively with the school's senior leadership team to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
• Use data analysis to inform educational initiatives and improve student outcomes
• Set challenging learning objectives and provide constructive feedback to teachers
• Articulate contemporary educational trends and best practices

• Experience as a Classroom Teacher K-6
• Experience in leading Curriculum K-6
• Experience in leading staff in professional learning
• Demonstrated success improving student outcomes K-6 and implementing school-wide initiatives
• Experience in using data analysis to inform educational initiatives K-6
• Experience in setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
• Ability to articulate contemporary educational trends
• High-order written, oral, and presentation skills
• Strong capabilities to lead adult learning, including emotional intelligence

• Tertiary qualification in Education
• Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• Qualifications at the Highly Accomplished or Lead level of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
