Health and Safety Expert Required for Power Outage Project

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to provide expertise on health and safety matters related to a Power Outage project in Queensland.

The Role

This is a 5-month contract role, commencing just outside of Brisbane. The successful candidate will work closely with outage line management, providing assistance, advice, and recommendations on all health and safety issues relevant to the outage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing HSE systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Delivering training and site inductions for contractors and staff on site to promote a culture of safety
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations on health and safety issues to inform decision-making
Requirements
  • Relevant degree, diploma, or certificate in Health and Safety (Essential)
  • Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence - Manual
  • Nationally Recognised Training in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (Essential)
  • Ideal experience from a Power Generation background (Desirable)
  • Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessment (Desirable)
  • ICAM Lead Investigator or Taproot Incident Investigation qualification (Desirable)
Essential Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify solutions to complex problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders

You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
