Job Description

Your role will be to lead the implementation of a mental health roadmap across various settings. This is a critical leadership and support function in embedding psychosocial risk management practices and building capability.

The Position
  • Drive the implementation of the mental health roadmap across various settings.
  • Translate strategic priorities into operational plans that align with realities.
  • Lead engagement activities to ensure commitment, ownership, and shared accountability at a local level.
  • Provide direct coaching, mentoring and technical support to identify, assess, and manage psychosocial risks.
  • Build capability of leaders to fulfil their responsibilities under WHS legislation, including creating safe teams and managing psychosocial hazards.
  • Develop practical training, tools, and workshops tailored to diverse clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Support the implementation of psychosocial risk management processes in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Support teams to identify controls and action plans to mitigate identified risks.
  • Promote a risk management culture prioritising prevention and early intervention.
  • Act as an advisor to leadership teams on mental health and psychosocial risk topics.
  • Collaborate with functions to ensure consistent messaging and shared approaches.
  • Engage constructively with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Support organisations in collecting and analysing psychosocial risk data and workplace wellbeing metrics to inform continuous improvement.
  • Enhance dashboards and progress reports to monitor implementation and provide insights.

You possess a qualification in psychology, occupational health and safety, organisational development, or a related field and demonstrate an advanced understanding of psychosocial hazards and relevant frameworks.

To succeed, you have proven experience implementing mental health strategies or psychosocial risk programs in large organisations – ideally across geographically dispersed sites. Demonstrated experience coaching and supporting operational leaders, OHS, and HR practitioners to implement safety and wellbeing practices, is essential.

As an experienced specialist you demonstrate high level communication and engagement skills, including relationship building, empathy, negotiation, and conflict management skills to initiate, promote and support program implementation and change.

Above all, people are at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our mission and values.
