Independent Domestic Assistant

This position involves providing assistance to older individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offering personalised domestic support services to empower seniors to live independently.
- Performing household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and organisation while respecting clients' preferences and capabilities.
- Assisting with meal preparation taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Fostering warm and supportive relationships with clients, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Monitoring clients' physical and mental health, promptly reporting any changes to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Previous experience in cleaning and laundry or aged care is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to engage effectively with clients and their families.
- Reliability, patience and adaptability are necessary to meet the diverse needs of seniors.
- A full driver's licence and reliable vehicle are necessary for this role.
- A current police clearance (less than 6 months) and first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) are also required.
- We recommend that you have two COVID vaccinations and an up-to-date flu vaccination.
- A minimum of 20 hours per fortnight availability is required, providing guaranteed working hours with flexibility to be available for a minimum of three days Monday - Friday between 9am - 4pm.
