About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As an integrated member of our team, you will provide intensive support to participants to address key development areas that support transition into adulthood: social skills, leadership, decision making, teamwork, healthy lifestyle, community service, responsibility, self-identity, self-esteem, and resilience.

An essential part of every team member's role is the timely and accurate recording of participant information and data. All our services are informed by our Well Together Model, Practice Principles, Program Pathways and Recovery Frameworks.

You will be required to travel across the South-Western Sydney Region using a work vehicle.

What do you need?

  • A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented mental health practice
  • Capacity to continuously develop practice in response to supervision, reflection, training, practice experience and feedback
  • Completion of the Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Community Services, or be enrolled in and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia (birth cert/passport/visa)
  • Satisfactory Police Check (no older than 12 months)
  • NSW (Paid Worker) Working with Children Check, prior to commencement.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Minimum P1 driver's license
