Primary School Administration Officer

Neville Bonner Primary School is a large primary school site located in North Gungahlin with around 750 enrolments and a culturally diverse community.
The successful applicant will undertake a variety of administration tasks as directed by the Business Manager, including reception duties, administration support for hirers, and general day-to-day support in a busy front office environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, a process-oriented approach, and excellent communication skills to provide a warm and welcome customer service approach to our community.
This position involves managing staff leave for a large primary school site, including both LSA's and teaching staff. You will utilize the casual relief system KRONOS for bookings and manage staff data associated records in a confidential and sensitive manner. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as this role can be busy throughout the school day and may require adjusting staffing accordingly.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with the front office and executive team. The successful applicant must have prior experience in an administration role, a current registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011, and a First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential, as well as familiarity with school-specific software, including Sentral. A competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation, is offered for this full-time position.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
