Early Childhood Education Lecturer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and qualified lecturer to join our team in Early Childhood Education. As a lecturer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality education to our students.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the early childhood education sector, with experience in teaching and mentoring students at all levels. You will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum that is relevant, engaging, and effective in meeting the needs of our students.

A key focus of this role will be on preparing preservice teachers for a successful placement experience. This will involve providing excellent teaching, enhancing student engagement, and ensuring their academic success.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will need to collaborate effectively with colleagues and students.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also contribute to the development of educational materials and programs that promote best practice in early childhood education.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • ACECQA-recognised early childhood teaching qualification at the postgraduate level
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher in Australian early learning services

Other desirable qualities include:

  • Relevant tertiary teaching experience
  • Ability to improve teaching methods and use technology or other innovative strategies for teaching and learning
