About the Role

The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the students on campus, including breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea. This role ensures the smooth operation of the kitchen in compliance with Australian and Local Government standards, creates engaging and balanced menus, and supports various school functions. The Culinary Specialist also contributes to hospitality learning programs and provides general advice to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for students, ensuring high-quality and nutritious food
  • Manage the kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and food safety
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences
  • Support school functions, events, and hospitality programs
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on food safety and kitchen procedures
Requirements
  • Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
  • Food Safety Supervisor Qualification or the ability to attain one
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
