**Job Opportunity:** Development Manager

The Development Manager plays a pivotal role in high-impact fundraising campaigns, collaborating closely with academic and medical leaders to engage major donors. This position is part of a central Advancement Office, managing a portfolio of major donors and leading strategies to secure gifts of significant value.

  • Develop and implement philanthropic strategies to support world-class cancer research at the Olivia Newton John Cancer Research Institute.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of donors, guiding them through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship processes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, university leadership, and partners.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and represent the organization with professionalism and purpose.

**Essential Requirements:**

  • A proven track record in securing substantial gifts (USD 25,000 - USD 1 million+).
  • Experience working in medical research, higher education, or healthcare philanthropy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage senior leaders, researchers, and donors.
  • Strategic thinking, innovation, and a passion for cause-driven fundraising.

This is an ongoing full-time opportunity located at Bundoora Campus.
