Optical Manager Job Description

The Optical Manager role involves inspiring and leading the optical team to deliver outstanding customer service while being informative and providing personalised, quality optical services in a professional environment.

This includes:

  • Driving sales growth through effective inventory management and merchandising display
  • Providing excellent customer service by explaining product features and demonstrating product usage
  • Recruiting, training, and developing optical team members
  • Managing rosters and timekeeping for all optical team members

Key attributes include well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, excellent personal and professional presentation, energy, and dedication to exceptional customer service.

Preferred qualifications include relevant retail and people management experience, motivation, and a Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing or willingness to undertake relevant on-the-job training.
