About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dedicated team in Sustainable Infrastructure, working within the Engineering Directorate to deliver impactful structural engineering projects.

  • Duration: ASAP start, 12-month contract with potential for permanency.
  • Capacity: Full-time.

Salary: $70.96 per hour (including casual loading), negotiable based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough condition assessments of structural assets, ensuring accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports and contribute to the evaluation of asset performance, driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and implement sustainable engineering solutions for infrastructure development, prioritizing environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate effectively within the Civil & Structural discipline engineering team, as well as with other technical disciplines and Principal Engineers, to achieve project objectives.
  • Travel to various sites as required for project execution, promoting adaptability and efficiency.
About You

We seek candidates with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering, preferably specialized in Pipeline Engineering or Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in the water industry, with Hydraulic experience highly recommended.
  • Proven knowledge in report writing and asset condition assessments, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • A current, valid driver's licence, facilitating site visits and project execution.
  • Experience in structural design is an advantage, showcasing expertise in this field.
