Job Overview

As a key member of our high-calibre BMD Urban team, you will play a crucial role in managing onsite pipe works and drainage for various projects ranging from $5 - $50 million in value, located around Brisbane.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Drainage Supervisor to work in collaboration with the Area Manager, taking total control and knowledge of onsite pipe works and drainage. You will utilize your leadership and communication skills to build relationships across all levels of our projects, including pipe crews, leading hands, plant operators, labourers, and long-term subcontractors.

Your Responsibilities
  • To manage onsite pipe works and drainage operations, ensuring exceptional quality outcomes to program
  • To lead by example, promoting a high-performing culture that values teamwork and collaboration
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders, including clients and internal teams
  • To identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualifications in drainage or plumbing/pipework installation
  • Extensive drainage/pipeworks background with demonstrated supervisory experience in urban development and minor civil construction projects
  • An excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
  • Motivation to achieve value-for-money results to program
Desirable Skills
  • Certificate IV Civil Supervision

Salary: Approximately $80,000-$110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
