Public Relations Specialist

In this exciting role, you will work closely with senior leaders to implement campaign strategies and engage with media to support Studio and Franchise activity.

  • You will be responsible for communicating with media as directed by senior leaders to participate in international junkets, premieres and country days.
  • Execute PR campaigns for Studio, Disney+ and Franchise, including media release development, distribution and influencer engagement aligned to the overarching campaign strategy.
  • Communicate with local media to secure editorial and interview placement, providing materials and resources as needed.
  • B build rapport with media through effective ongoing conversations, upholding Disney as a content market leader.
  • Develop media promotions activity for relevant Studio, Disney+ and Franchise campaigns, generating incremental media value.

Main Responsibilities:

This position requires strong communication skills, excellent writing abilities, and an understanding of the Australian media landscape.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business (Marketing/Journalism Media/Media Communications)
  • Proven understanding of the Australian media landscape and established relationships with key editorial partners
  • Cross-functional team engagement and collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience writing and preparing pitches/materials for media
  • Experience managing events, budgets and presenting engaging content
  • Experience with social media platforms and the influencer space
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with changing deadlines and resource requirements
  • Open attitude with a desire to seek input and feedback
  • Passion for Disney and the entertainment industry, with an understanding of the Disney Brands and values
