Lead Technical Delivery

We are seeking a senior engineer to lead technical delivery of primary and high-voltage projects from feasibility, concept designs, detail designs, and owner's engineer.

  • Develop and mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead primary design of high voltage substations and other related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver timely and accurate documentation and reports.
  • Lead teams of engineers to undertake larger packages of work including training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Provide concept and detailed design and review of specifications, drawings etc.
  • Maintain current design standards as set by legislative requirements.
  • Carry out quality checks and procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality technical advice to clients.

  • Technical skills based on solid fundamentals and proven through the delivery of robust and innovative power engineering projects and designs.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Variety of electrical engineering skills that will contribute to the power business in a broader sense.
Requirements
  • Understanding of various engineering disciplines and experience in electricity transmission, distribution, and traction power projects.
  • Experience in substation primary engineering position across HV/EHV substations design up to 500kV ideally.
  • Use of engineering software in design.
  • Understanding of design impact on construction.
  • Ability to think outside the box and be organised, adaptable.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Results-oriented with good technical engineering basis in transmission, distribution or rail traction power and managing project delivery.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
