Gilead Sciences is looking for a motivated Legal professional to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance and support across various business units. As a key member of the ANZ affiliate's Legal & Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive support for the Affiliate's Business Units, Market Access team, Commercial Operations, and functional departments on all legal and business conduct matters.

You will give substantive legal advice to one or more of Gilead's Business Units and cross-functional teams supporting the activities of the Business Units on sales and marketing strategies, medical educational activities, public affairs, patient group and community activities as well as policy and government affairs initiatives.

This role also has a focus on supporting the compliance program for the ANZ affiliate, providing tools and guidance to the Business Units about Gilead's Business Conduct Manual, the Medicines Australia Code of Practice, competition and consumer law, and anti-bribery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice to Business Units and cross-functional teams on sales and marketing strategies, medical educational activities, public affairs, patient group and community activities as well as policy and government affairs initiatives.
  • Support the compliance program for the ANZ affiliate by providing tools and guidance to the Business Units about Gilead's Business Conduct Manual, the Medicines Australia Code of Practice, competition and consumer law, and anti-bribery.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in Australia.
  • 10+ years of legal experience preferably with a combination of industry and law firm experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech or other highly regulated industries.
