Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting company, Coulson Aviation, and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with the provision of aircraft and experienced team members. Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.

We are currently recruiting qualified Boeing CH47 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to be part of our team. The chosen candidates will work in a team environment performing maintenance and engineering activities in support of aerial emergency response services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on customer-owned aircraft ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues as appropriately qualified to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness of aircraft and role equipment
  • Supervising unlicensed engineers, apprentices and/or contractors as and when required
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance documentation of all work performed.
  • Support operations of emergency service aircraft to ensure effective response to missions

Experience Requirements:

  • Diploma in Aeroskills (completion of educational requirements)
  • Ability to obtain RAAF Base Access
  • 2 or more years of experience working in Australia as AME

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • AME B1.3 Licence preferably with no exclusions
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Licence
  • Field maintenance experience
