Job Description

The Sports Program Manager is responsible for leading a team of sports coaches within a successful sports program.

This newly created position will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of various activities and team sports for students in Years K–12.

Additionally, the role involves managing representative pathways, athlete education, and athlete support.

Collaboration with the Sports Department to deliver and attend sports carnivals and events is also a key aspect of this position.

Effective time management, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in Water Polo and Strength and Conditioning.
  • Level 1 ASCA qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Willingness to work across various sports (Netball, Basketball, Touch Football, Badminton, Volleyball).
  • Previous experience in schools (highly beneficial).
  • Understanding of IGSA and IPSHA representative sports pathways (highly beneficial).
  • Excellent organizational, administration, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize sports programs, trials, training, and games.
  • Availability to work outside regular school hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, Saturdays, and during non-term time and sports trips/tours.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sport or related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
