Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a qualified Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing high-quality service and repair work on customer vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Carry out services such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and filter replacements.
  • Detect and rectify engine failures, brake issues, gearbox faults, and electrical/mechanical malfunctions.
  • Conduct test drives and make adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and emissions regulations.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Exceptional mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Able to carry out MOT-related inspections and vehicle assessments
  • Experience rebuilding engines and gearboxes
  • Familiarity with LPG conversions and tuning
  • Experience fitting radios and other vehicle features
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license
