
Community Support Specialist

The Community Health Professional is a vital role that requires a kind and professional approach to ensure the needs of the local community are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and prevent loneliness by engaging with individuals in a meaningful way, promoting social interaction and reducing feelings of isolation.
- Assist with personal care, including all aspects of personal hygiene, ensuring the individual's dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
- Manage medication, including collecting prescriptions and providing reminders, to ensure timely and accurate administration.
- Prepare tasty meals and assist with mealtimes, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
- Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment, including cleaning, laundry, and other domestic duties.
- Assist with mobility and help individuals get around, providing support and guidance to ensure safe movement and independence.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Effective communication skills across all levels, enabling you to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work with vulnerable adults, demonstrating patience, compassion, and a positive attitude, ensuring their needs are met with kindness and respect.
