Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our service team. The successful applicant will work in a small team environment, based on site at Ryans Corner Wind Farm, and be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract.

The role involves undertaking scheduled service and reactive maintenance on as required basis, responding and attending site outside normal working hours, maintaining all company vehicles and plant and equipment in good clean condition, and ensuring that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment and work methods are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance on as required basis
  • Respond and attend site outside normal working hours
  • Maintain all company vehicles and plant and equipment in good clean condition
  • Ensure that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment and work methods are followed at all times
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

A Grade Electrical trade certificate or And/or mechanical trade certificate, Full clean driving license, Literate with PC & modern technologies to support your day-to-day work, Ability to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and/or maintenance activities, Any knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems, Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industry, Understanding of safety principles, willing to adhere to and drive safety compliance company-wide, Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in a residential, commercial, and/or industrial environment, Proficient in the use of various hand tools, Strong communication skills, ability to work in a small team, Ability to work at heights in confined environments.
