Wildlife Conservation Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our conservation efforts in remote areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a passion for wildlife conservation to join our team and contribute to the protection of Australia's unique biodiversity.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, experience managing on-ground operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior ecologists and local communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing on-ground operations at remote locations;
- Leading conservation teams and ensuring alignment between land management, science, and partnership activities;
- Collaborating with senior ecologists to develop and implement effective conservation strategies;
- Engaging with partners, stakeholders, and supporters to promote conservation efforts;
- Managing finances and resources to achieve program goals;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license, remote first aid certificate, and police clearance certificate are essential requirements for this role. A passion for conservation and experience living and working in remote areas is highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Lead remote conservation teams and ensure effective implementation of conservation strategies.
- Manage on-ground operations, including feral animal and weed control, fire management, and partnership engagement.
- Collaborate with senior ecologists to integrate land management, science, and partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program goals.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators.
- Ensure financial sustainability and compliance with organizational policies.
