About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher (English) to join our vibrant school community at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English to students in Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic and personal goals
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Education or a related field
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
