Job Description

The project is in the Defence sector, with sites located in regional Western Australia. The overall project spans over two years, involving significant construction upgrades to airfield asphalt pavements and related infrastructure assets.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Asphalt with airfield pavements, asphalt contracting, and civil construction background to join our multi-disciplinary project team.

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, specifically involving asphalt contracting, roads, and pavement construction.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering.
  • Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborative team attitude with frontline operational coordination experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing strong relationships with subcontractor and supplier partners.
  • High-level understanding of resourcing, technical, scheduling, and contract management to achieve and exceed safety, quality, time, and cost objectives.
  • Extensive experience in site-based construction roles, client interface, and project management systems.
  • Experience with Defence processes and project delivery will be highly regarded.
  • Able to meet Department of Defence security clearance requirements (DCAC).
