We're seeking an exceptional Power Systems Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of energy. As a vital member of our Electrification & Automation team, you'll design and deliver cutting-edge medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) power systems that meet customer specifications, quality standards, and economic constraints.

  • You will be responsible for designing and engineering MV and LV switchgear systems, analyzing and clarifying customer specifications, verifying primary MV switchgear components, and preparing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed design documentation and system realization plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer MV and LV switchgear systems to meet customer requirements and comply with IEC/AS standards
  • Analyze and clarify customer specifications, adapting Siemens switchgear designs where necessary
  • Verify primary MV switchgear components (CB, CT/VTs) to ensure suitability for application
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed design documentation and system realization plans
  • Coordinate secondary designs and ensure all systems meet design inputs
  • Collaborate across business units, project managers, customers, and factories to achieve project milestones
  • Manage quality assurance, testing, and inspection processes to guarantee reliable system delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-10+ years' experience (MIE Aust/NER or CPEng highly desirable)
  • Proven expertise in MV GIS and AIS switchgear design (primary and secondary)
  • Strong knowledge of LV switchgear design and transformer construction/testing standards
  • Proficiency in AS3000 standards and understanding divergences from IEC standards
  • Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Full working rights in Australia
