As a key member of the Department of Vascular Surgery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and maintaining an ongoing commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

About the Department:

The Department of Vascular Surgery, as part of the Division of Surgery Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine, is responsible for the provision of diagnostic, outpatient, open vascular and endovascular surgical services to patients across Austin Health.

About the Role:

  • Hours per week: Available 9.36 hours per week vacant, various sessions
  • Employment Status: Part-time ongoing
  • Additional notes: Various sessions available

Key Requirements:

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Vascular Surgery
  • Hold or be eligible for membership of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery
  • Hold or be eligible for a Radiation Use License, Victorian Department of Health (Radiation Act 2005)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum, and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research
