Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned leader to serve as the Chair of our Banking Code Compliance Committee.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a senior professional to drive compliance and best practice in the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the committee in fulfilling its responsibilities under the Code and Charter, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.
  • Set the agenda and preside over committee meetings, facilitating productive discussions and decision-making.
  • Be the liaison between the committee and stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, and other key organizations.
  • Represent the committee externally at events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant experience in senior leadership positions, particularly in governance, regulatory, or compliance-focused roles.
  • A proven track record of leading boards, committees, or similar governance bodies with an emphasis on independent oversight and ethical decision-making.
  • Extensive experience in engaging and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including regulators, industry bodies, and other key organizations.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial services markets, particularly banking, would be desirable.
  • Superior communication skills to effectively represent the committee's work and engage with various stakeholders.
  • High-level critical and analytical thinking to support the committee in setting and achieving its strategic goals.
