This is an excellent opportunity to work in a public mental health service that provides specialized inpatient and community-based care, offering treatment and support to individuals and their families affected by mental health challenges.
The hospital where you will be working features an acute admission and treatment unit dedicated to adult patients living with severe and complex mental illnesses. A range of inpatient and community-based programs support the delivery of care, including acute inpatient services, residential rehabilitation, crisis intervention, recovery-focused community treatment, and specialist perinatal mental health services for women and infants.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience working with patients experiencing psychosocial mental health needs. You will be experienced in the identification and management of a range of mental health issues including psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and risk issues. You will also be willing to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating a compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
In this role, you will work in the inpatient psychiatric unit with adult patients living with severe and complex mental illnesses. Your responsibilities will include identifying and managing mental health issues, collaborating in a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care, and supporting inpatient services, residential rehabilitation, crisis intervention, recovery-focused community treatment, and specialist perinatal mental health services as part of the hospital's programs.

Responsibilities:
- Work in the inpatient psychiatric unit with adult patients living with severe and complex mental illnesses
- Identify and manage mental health issues including psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex PTSD and risk issues
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care
- Support inpatient services, residential rehabilitation, crisis intervention, recovery-focused community treatment, and specialist perinatal mental health services as part of the hospital's programs
- UK-trained consultant psychiatrists; Expedited Specialist Pathway is open
- Extensive experience working with patients with psychosocial mental health needs
- Experience in identifying and managing psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, and risk issues
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
