Mushroom Cultivator

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture Grower to cultivate and manage exotic mushrooms in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Main Responsibilities:- Cultivate and manage various mushroom varieties, ensuring optimal growth conditions and consistent quality.
- Oversee the entire cultivation process from substrate preparation and spawning to fruiting and post-harvest activities.
- Maintain precise control over environmental factors including temperature, humidity, light, and ventilation to create ideal conditions for mushroom growth.
- Implement effective pest and disease control measures while upholding our commitment to chemical-free cultivation.
- Harvest mushrooms at peak maturity to ensure superior flavor and quality.
- Uphold stringent hygiene and safety standards to guarantee the quality and safety of the mushroom crop.
- Maintain meticulous records of cultivation activities, crop yields, and environmental conditions.
- Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply.
- At least a relevant AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV qualification or equivalent.
- Alternatively 3 years of employment experience as a Horticulture Grower.
- A passion for agriculture and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Knowledge of sustainable and chemical-free farming practices is an asset.
