About the Role
This Early Childhood Education instructor position offers a unique opportunity to teach and develop programs related to early childhood education and care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years recent industry experience in this field and a relevant degree or diploma. They must also possess a thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures, as well as the ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the early childhood education and care industry.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $84,000 - $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation. Key Responsibilities
- Teaching: Develop, maintain, and evaluate student learning programs, projects, and associated materials.
- Assessment: Conduct required pre-training assessment reviews and assessment requirements connected to contract delivery for the program/s.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in the marketing and promotion of the courses by liaising with industry contacts, networks, and learning communities.
- Quality and Compliance: Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance processes in relation to program and course administration, design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of training materials.
- Vocational and Industry Currency: Identify, create, and participate in professional development relevant to teaching and the maintenance of vocational currency.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years recent industry experience in early childhood education and care.
- A degree, diploma, or certificate relevant to content and academic level and industry experience relevant to Certificate III / Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent, including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills (TAELLN4111).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the early childhood education and care industry.
- Ability to take a lead role in the effective delivery of early childhood education and care courses.
- Ability to teach and facilitate delivery of specialist early childhood education and care and related courses to groups with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and readiness.
- Ability to use a variety of teaching modes and materials, including flexible and industry-based delivery.
