About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Electrician to join our team in Wacol, working on premium brands and exciting new technologies with OEM training and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete various jobs on Energy Solutions products, including directing sub-contractors.
- Assemble, factory-test, diagnose, repair, install, commission, and service our Energy Solutions products, particularly Battery Energy Storage Systems, as well as large Diesel and Gas Generators and Rotary UPS, including their control and auxiliary systems.
- Collaborate with customers, consultants, partners, and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities, complete commissioning and test documentation for smooth handover.
About You:
- Trade qualification – Cert III in Electrotechnology and Full Electrical Licence.
- Prior experience with electrical diagnostics, fault-finding, modifications, and the installation and commissioning of complex mechanical/electrical systems.
- Sound knowledge of power and auxiliary systems, controls, instrumentation, and switchgear.
- Experience with microgrids, renewable energy, or storage systems is a plus.
- A background in Power Generation applications is preferred, with training available for the right candidate.
- Easily work independently, but also happy working in a team.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, actively promoting Penske's values and purpose.
