Job Title: Adhesive Bonding Operator

About this role

  • This position is responsible for assisting with the assembly and finishing of composite armour panel modules.
  • The candidate will also assist with the preparation of materials and components prior to assembly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assemble and finish composite armour modules in accordance with technical specifications;
  • Prepare metal components for adhesive bonding processes;
  • Assist with loading and operation of hydraulic curing press;
  • Operate vacuum table with heating function;
  • Assist Quality Assurance inspectors with documentation and recording of all processes.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Previous experience working with adhesive bonding or composites;
  • Experience working with vacuum sealing equipment or performing adhesive repairs under vacuum;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a production environment;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously;
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
