We are seeking an experienced Retail Travel Sales Consultant to join our Travel and Experiences team of experts, to provide exceptional customer service to our members and customers when planning their travel adventures.
The RACV Geelong retail store is a dynamic and growing team, trading 6 days a week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm & Saturday 9am-2pm. Our team works full-time 5 days a week, with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events.
Your Key Responsibilities- Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & insurance
- Assist customers with face-to-face in-store & online service, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations
- Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDS
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross-selling & up-selling of travel products
- Manage travel credits, refunds and changes
- Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs
- Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos
- Travel sales consultant experience in a retail agency environment, essential
- Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred
- Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo GDS experience
- Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience
- Excellent customer service & communication skills
- Outstanding organisational, attention to detail & problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
- Permanent Full-time
