Occupational Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking casual Grade 1 or 2 Occupational Therapists to join our multidisciplinary team in acute or rehabilitation settings. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Description

Provide Evidence-Based Intervention

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide evidence-based occupational therapy intervention across the clinical stream, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely delivery of team goals and quality improvement projects
  • Clinical liaison with the multidisciplinary team, nurse unit managers, and medical teams
  • Supervision of Allied Health Assistant, as per department needs
  • Assisting senior staff with student supervision, as per department needs
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain clinical registration and any required indemnity cover (if applicable)
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Rehabilitation and/or acute hospital experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Sound assessment and therapy provision skills
  • Equipment prescription
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team
