About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our team at La Grange Remote Community School. As a key member of the school leadership team, you will play a critical role in providing educational leadership and supporting the Principal in developing and promoting the school's values, ethos, and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide educational leadership and support to the Principal in developing and implementing the school's strategic plan.
  • Oversee Behaviour Management in the Primary level and line manage in-school instructional coaches.
  • Develop and implement curriculum support and development of best practice in teaching and classroom management to teachers.
  • Provide leadership in several focus areas, including implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum, Professional Learning Communities, and Cultural Responsiveness.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
  • Valid Working With Children Check.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check.
  • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
