About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join our team. As a key member of the school leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Principal and other staff to provide high-quality education to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the secondary school staff to ensure effective teaching and learning practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Work closely with the Principal and other staff to develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers to improve their instructional practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment programs.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled and experienced educator with a strong background in secondary education.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and leading educational programs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment programs, with the ability to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
