Global Trade Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Specialist to manage the import process from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have experience in trade operations, exceptional attention to detail, well-developed negotiation, customer service, and problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for receiving shipment pre-alerts and specifications, monitoring import status, processing import documentation, and ensuring efficient trade processes.

This role offers great variety and the opportunity to work with a leading logistics provider that manages the entire import process for many international trading clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive shipment pre-alerts and specifications prior to departure
  • Monitor import status to co-coordinate carriers and receival commitments
  • Process import documentation for air and sea freight shipments
  • Ensure efficient import processes to expedite clearance and delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven trade operations experience within a freight forwarder
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Well-developed negotiation, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Full working rights within the Australian market
