Clinical Assistant Position

Wonthaggi Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join their team in Bass Coast Hospital. This casual opportunity offers varying hours, Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm. While prior experience is not necessary, a background in healthcare is preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area and hospital when clinically required.
  • Support general clinic tasks and other patients of the department as directed by technical/clerical/medical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, and managers.

Key Requirements:

  • Able to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with both the public and colleagues.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Meet relevant VIC Health workplace requirements, including Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases.
