Are you passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities? As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling people to live independently and comfortably. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and helping individuals achieve their personal goals in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Personal Care: Assist individuals with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and eating, while respecting their privacy and dignity.
- Community Access: Support individuals to participate in community activities, social events, and appointments, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as others.
- Encourage Independence: Promote and assist clients in developing life skills, such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene, to increase their independence.
- Health and Well-being: Monitor and report on the health and well-being of individuals, ensuring that any changes in condition are promptly addressed and communicated.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities, progress, and any incidents that occur.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Experience: Previous experience in disability support, mental health or other relevant sectors is highly valued.
- Education: A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Individual Support is preferred, but not required. CPR and First Aid certification is essential.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent problem-solving abilities and a patient, empathetic nature.

- Competitive hourly rate: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
- 38 hours per week

Working Hours and Schedule:

- Flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs
- Afternoon, day, evening, and morning shifts available
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Licences and Certifications:

- Current WWCC (Working with Children Clearance)
- National Police Check
- NDIS Screening Clearance
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Driver's Licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
