Palliative Care Nurse Unit Manager Position

Cabrini Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Nurse Unit Manager to lead our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to patients with complex symptoms and end-of-life needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shifts and plan patient activities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Share knowledge with the clinical team and provide guidance and expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with senior staff and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support and coach colleagues in problem-solving and delivering outstanding care.
  • Liaise with medical staff and other health professionals to create an integrated model of care.
  • Triage community calls and manage clinical information.

About You:

  • Post-graduate qualifications and/or relevant experience in Palliative Care.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • A passion for quality improvement and auditing, with a desire to drive positive change in patient outcomes.
