Job Title

Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced procurement professionals to join our team as Principal Procurement Officers. These are permanent, full-time positions based in Kensington. As a Principal Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for developing and managing tender processes for medium/high-risk and value procurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing tender processes for medium/high-risk and value procurements, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Providing expert guidance to senior stakeholders on procurement planning, policy interpretation, contract formation, and contract management.
  • Overseeing contract lifecycle activities including extensions, variations, and exemption requests.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships across Government, industry, and the community to support successful procurement outcomes.
  • Managing and supporting team members to assist in the successful outcomes of contract development.

Selection Criteria:

  • Considerable experience in procurement environments working with complex tender and contract formation, within Government or equivalent industry.
  • Proven track record in procurement processes including tender and contract preparation, management and administration, and contract negotiation and time and financial management.
  • Evidence of ability to deliver effective solutions to complex procurement challenges.
  • Demonstrated high-level oral communication and interpersonal skills and experience in effectively liaising and negotiating with external organisations.
  • Significant experience in high-level leadership, supervisory, organisational and program planning and human resource management skills.
